{ LAYER 01_OBJECTIVE }
Design packaging for IWAS glassware that reflected the brand’s
commitment to sustainability and elegance while also providing
protection for delicate products. I wanted to create a solution
that honored the upcycled story of the glassware while ensuring
durability and consumer trust.
{ LAYER 02_PREMISE }
Packaging for fragile items can go beyond function. By blending
sustainability, protection, and brand storytelling, I sought to
create packaging that safeguards the product while also enhancing
its identity and consumer experience.
{ LAYER 03_DESIGN APPROACH }
My approach was about merging practical protection with a
narrative-driven design that communicates both quality and care.
I studied IWAS’s brand identity and values, pulling from its
emphasis on sustainability, minimalism, and elegance to inform
the packaging structure and design. I explored structural
sketches that would securely cradle fragile glassware while
minimizing excess materials and waste.
Materials and dielines were chosen with sustainability in mind,
ensuring the packaging could be both protective and eco-
conscious. I also incorporated storytelling into the design, using
typography and messaging that highlight the brand’s ethos
of “I WAS a bottle,” emphasizing its upcycled origins. The visual
system remained clean and modern, reinforcing the premium
positioning of IWAS while keeping functionality at the forefront.
